The name “aquamarine†is derived from two Latin words: aqua, meaning “water,†and marina, meaning “of the sea.†The March birthstone, aquamarine has been given for a variety of reasons - from protection from foes in battle or litigation to engagement rings! Historically, aquamarine was one of the first engagement stones. Since the days of ancient Rome, aquamarine has symbolized wedded bliss!
This delicate ring features a 6 mm aquamarine cabochon set in a bright sterling silver bezel. The band is made of 14 gauge sterling silver wire that has been soldered, then given a hammer texture, then carefully polished for a bright finish.
The ring shown in this picture is a size 7, but I will be glad to make it in any size you need, including quarter sizes. We suggest that if you are planning to wear several stacking rings together, that you order a quarter size larger. Please contact us if you have any questions!
