Moissanite is a bright sparkling laboratory-grown stone with a fire that rivals that of a diamond. Moissanite was first discovered in 1893 by a French scientist named Henri Moissan. Originally discovered as part of a meteorite that fell to earth, natural Moissanite is incredibly rare. Moissanite as we know it now is a laboratory-created mineral composed of the substance silicon carbide.
For The Band:
This beautiful Sterling Silver Wedding Band in our Renaissance Diamond Pattern measures 2.5 mm wide (about .10"). It features a lovely geometric pattern around the length of the band that is reminiscent of the scrollwork and design done during the Italian Renaissance. The edge features a mil-grain pattern, which gives it a lovely sparkle and added dimension. The interior of the ring is gently rounded for ease of wear and the ring has been darkened, then re-polished, to show off the details of the elegant pattern. This ring is wide enough for our personalized ring engraving.
